The theatre production of Les Miserables that I am directing (a new non-musical one based as tightly as feasible on the unabridged book) is coming on really well - we have won a load of awards for the costuming even though it is all made from recycled things got via charity shops and Freecycle.

Shows only a month away! eeep!
And in the interim it looks as if we may have a national TV channel crew coming to film one of our rehearsals.

nailbite nailbite nailbite...

Performances in Paignton and Brixham, in South Devon, UK.

For those who can't come in person,  the show is being filmed on the Sept 20th performance.

We were at one of the local carnivals and some phtographer friends of mine passed by and snapped this picture of Ed - now one of the main promo photos of the show.

I wanted to comment on this so much, I went all the way over to my other browser that LJ will actually let me comment with to do so: this is awesome! I'm so glad to hear that you're recording the production. Will there be a mechanism for viewing/buying this recording in the US?

If you stay in touch with us on our theatre company facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sdevonplayers) then DVDs and things can be bought after the show (once the guy filming, has got it onto DVD that is, its a three hour show and he is filming multi-camera so will be editing)... just bear in mind the DVDs will be Region 2 (Europe), as opposed to Region 1 (USA).

We will also be getting the show onto Youtube, we jumped through all the hoops so we can put films of any length on there (not restricted to 15 mins). :)

All DVDs and youtubes will be announced on there - as well as work in progress pictures and stuff. :)
